Fable Flaws

Posted : 11 years ago on 12 July 2007 02:31 (A review of Fable: The Lost Chapters)

Some of the flaws of the first Fable have been fixed in this.
For example, in the original Fable, it was impossible to steal gems. It was also possible to give gifts to/use expressions on a Summoned human, such as a bandit or guard. Additionally, enemies, represented as red dots on maps, could sometimes be confused with Demon Doors, shown as a slightly larger red dot.

In this edition, gems are now stealable, and Demon Doors now show up on maps as purple blobs. The bad news is, now Summon is a pretty much useless spell, because even if you get the wasp to kill something, your Summon doesn't take on the new form. Which, in a way, solves the accidentally-giving-gifts-to-summoned-creatures problem. Also, some Demon Doors are now easily attackable. You may find this out the way I did, when training your Will, changing targets rapidly, and accidentally Lightning-ing the Demon Door, prompting the guildmaster to lecture you the same way he would if you had attacked a fellow guild member.

Briar Rose isn't as much of an ass as I thought she was. But why isn't SHE old and gray? Does she never spend her experience points?!

Another thing, the charity shop in Snowspire. They really could have come up with a better way to donate things than just "sell for zero gold".

One more. I can never finish Guess the Addition - half the time I can't even start - so that's another glitch!
